About Zen Accommodations

From one apartment to twenty units on the island

Zen Accommodations began as one small apartment in Venice. Sixteen years later it is more than twenty units inside the historic island, run by one team on one connected system — every calendar, rate and message in a single place, so a guest gets the same answer whether they booked on Booking.com, on Airbnb, or direct.

We are building for scale and for the technology that makes it work — with the ambition of becoming one of the most modern hospitality operations in Venice. The unit stays the same: a room in a Venetian house, looked after properly.

The houses

Five of our houses are open to guests room by room. Each is a floor or two of an old Venetian building, with a handful of rooms and no reception desk. Pick the one whose corner of the city you want to wake up in.

How we host

More than twenty units, one team, one set of standards. What that means in practice:

Private check-in
You are met at the house and let in — there is no lobby, no queue and no front desk.
Air conditioning and Wi-Fi in every house
Free Wi-Fi throughout, air conditioning in the rooms, and a kettle with tea and coffee.
Private or shared bathrooms — always stated
Palazzo Zen has private bathrooms. In the other houses most rooms share a bathroom with one or two others, and each room says so.
Adults only in three of the houses
Grand Canal, Rialto and Two Steps from Rialto take adult guests only. Canal View and Santa Lucia are open to families.
English and Italian at the door
We answer messages in English and Italian, and can point you to the right vaporetto from the airport, the train station or Mestre.
